Bubbles

The Bubbles Ministry serves children birth thorugh Pre-K. It is divided into four developmental areas:
-
Cuddlers: Infants 6-weeks old until they are walking well. Loving care and prayer characterize this room. Caregivers pray specifically for each child. We encourage parents to fill out an Information Card each week at the Registration Table. Space is provided to include prayer needs for the child and his/her family. Ratio is 1:2.
-
Cruisers: Toddlers who are walking well through 2-years of age. Activities for toddlers include supervised play and interaction with children through reading books, singing and teaching. Caregivers model prayer by praying with and for the children. They repeat simple Biblical truths and seek to relate them to the children’s experiences. A snack is provided. Ratio is 1:4.
-
Two-year Olds: Children 2-years of age. Activities for 2-year olds include supervised play, interaction with children through reading books and singing, and small group teaching, coloring and snack. Each lesson’s Biblical truth is reinforced during the hour through a simple craft, play activities and conversation. Prayer is modeled for the children as teachers pray with them and for them. Two-year olds participate in worship at Theo’s Playhouse. The weekly lesson, verse and Biblical truth is reinforced through puppets and singing. Ratio is 1:4.
-
Pre-K: Children ages 3-6 and who have not yet entered Kindergarten. Preschoolers rotate between activity stations, including Bible, games, crafts, Scripture memory, snack & bathroom and manipulative play. Each lesson’s Biblical truth is reinforced at each station. Prayer is modeled for the children as teachers pray with them and for them. Older preschoolers are encouraged to pray at snack time. Preschoolers participate in worship at Theo’s Playhouse. The weekly lesson, verse and Biblical truth is reinforced through puppets and singing. Ratio is 1:8.
What to Bring to Church
Children in Bubbles need to bring the following items each Sunday morning:
- If the child wears a diaper or pull-up, parents need to bring a diaper bag with a minimum of two disposable diapers or pull-ups and a complete change of clothes.
- For bottle-fed children less than 12 months, parents need to provide a plastic bottle. All bottles should be prepared (premixed formula or juice) to ensure the child receives the correct serving size and prevent bottle mix-ups. We do not currently have facilitites to warm bottles. Note: We have designated a quiet area for nursing mothers near the ministry area.
- For 1-year olds, parents need to provide their child’s sippy cup. If a 1-year old is still taking a bottle, parents will need to give him/her the bottle before or after church. This avoids jealousy for freshly weaned children and prevents “bottle sharing” with little friends.
- A snack will be provided in each room, but young children may need a specific snack. Parents may bring a snack in a sealed container for thier infant or toddler. We will never give a child a snack from their bag unless there is a note on their Information Card that it is okay to do so.
- Infants and toddlers may feel comforted by a pacifier, blanket or cuddly. We ask, however, that 2-year olds and preschoolers not bring toys into the ministry area.
- If children have a Bible, we encourage them to bring it to church. It may be helpful for them to have a small bag to carry it in.
- Parents will be asked to label everything - diaper bag, clothes, bottles, sippy cup, snack containers, blankets, toys, Bibles and baby carriers.
