2Rivers History Video

This short video will give you a glimpse at the journey God has brought us through, from that first service in 1999, to where God has us today.

2Rivers Church began early in 1999 with five couples sitting in the living room of Pastor Ron and Debi’s home. We prayed, and brainstormed and filled up yellow legal pads with notes about this new church, what it would be like, and how to get started. We began having worship services in the basement of Virginia McCune’s home and met there for two months while we prepared to have our first public worship service. We bought our first trailer and began to fill it with sound equipment, stages, port-a-cribs, children’s’ toys, and all the other essential items needed to turn a school building into a church building. On April 25, 1999, 2Rivers Church opened to the public with our first service at Bryan Middle School.

2Rivers Church began with the vision of helping people to become passionate followers of Christ. 2Rivers is nontraditional in style, but we are deeply committed to the truth of Gods Word. Our weekend celebration service presents the timeless truths of Christianity in a way that impacts people in their lives today. We use music, drama, video to help us present the life changing message of the Bible. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you can grow in your understanding of Christianity at these services.

It is our desire that everyone would feel welcome at 2Rivers. We work hard to make sure every weekend service is creative and relevant to your life. When you pull into the parking lot, we will help you find a parking place. A greeter will welcome you at the front door. If you need a cup of coffee and a donut, help yourself at our hospitality areas. Our greeters will give you a program guide and direct you to a seat in our auditorium.
